Silver Falls

We went and explored Silver Falls State Park in Silverton, OR over Memorial Day. Neither of us had ever been. We will go better prepared if we choose to go again. The scenery is gorgeous. Leify was feeling a little under the weather so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked, but it was still fun. He wanted to be carried the entire way, he says, "put me to the ceiling, Mom." Which is code for he wants a ride on your shoulders ;)

The trail we went on started off with this view. We were in love.

Sophie is just like her older brother; if she's outside, she's happy.

Leify did get down occasionally, he couldn't stop the explorer within.

It was such an COOL experience walking behind the waterfall. I felt like I was in the movie, "Last of the Mohicans." Got a little wet, good thing we all had our waterproof windbreakers!

Pictures like this make me feel so very blessed. I have an amazing, supportive, brilliant man for a husband. Then to sweeten the pot I was gifted with two precious babies who call me the best name on earth, Mom.

I love my little Leify Cake. He makes me laugh everyday. He is so sweet with his sister, I love to watch them play, and hear the cute little giggles Sophers has for him.

Joe will be disappointed to hear that you've ruined the mystery of Silver Falls by posting pics. Hee hee/ Looks pretty awesome! I bet it would be really cool to be on that trail behind the falls.
