The Cookie Monster

Oh my does Leify loves his cookies....he makes one heck of a mess and loves every second of it. Sometimes it gets so slimy that he drops it...you would think that the world was coming to and end the way he squeals!

His personality is coming out more and more he is such a happy little guy, except around nap time and then he is a little maniac. He fights so hard and then finally conks out but good heavens by the time I finally have wrestled him to sleep I feel like I need a nap too!

We are spending Easter weekend by ourselves, my parents will be back on Sunday though so I am sure we will have something planned by then.

I have been working on a quilt for my darling little niece Aubriana... it isn't quite done yet, the front still needs to be cut up so it can be an official "rag quilt" so here is a picture of the back for now. It is definitely an amateur quilt, this is only the 2nd attempt I have ever made at sewing ;) I am starting another quilt this weekend for the little baby girl growing inside of Yvonne and hopefully I'll have it done by the time we go down there!!

The Beach

We had so much fun this past weekend at the beach. Leify was a little darling and slept like a champ in his pack-n-play that Anne got him. That thing has been a life saver, not only did he sleep in it the first 3 months of his life, but we can take it anywhere and he loves it!

We roamed around Longbeach on Saturday morning... walked along the tourist strip and checked out the shops; then we went back to the condo ate lunch and then went for a walk along the beach. We bundled Leify up in the jogger and put the rain fly down so he wouldn't be wipped by the wind. Then we went swimming! We had the whole pool to ourselves! It was so much fun and Leify absolutley loved it, he kicked and kicked. He also figured out that he can get his feet into his mouth so he spent a lot of time chewing on his toes while we were there.

We also saw a bald eagle while we where there...check this guy out.

Leify has started to inch himself up, he made his way about 3/4 of the way up the blanket. He sticks his butt way up into the air and grunts. He reminds me of a little inch worm. Hehe.

We watched movies...cuggled...and just enjoyed being together and being at the beach. It was a great weekend!!

I saw several dogs running along the beach and it broke my heart. Thor loved the beach, agh, I miss that little guy.

Leify is completly in love with my parents bad and my mom's bath robe. Here is taking a nap in total bliss.

Leif made me promise I wouldn't put this picture on the blog before I took it.....but I have to break it. He tried these glasses on in one of the shops... It's too funny. It kills me. He's my Elton John.

He's a little man

Leify's personality is coming out more and more, he is so happy and fun! He is bursting with joy when he wakes up in the morning; weird because you usually don't want to make eye contact with me for about an hour. But Leify is quickly changing me. I usually take him out of his crib and prop him in bed with me and we read a story together. He actually cries when I am done, he loves to read!
Our beach has finally come around, we are excited to head out there this weekend. Grandma Vi was so nice to let us have some of her condo time!! Hopefully the weather is ok so we can cruise around on the beach with Leify in the jogger.

I decided I want to go back to school and thought maybe I would be able to take a couple of classes online this term but I was wrong! All of the online classes are full so I ended up with one credit of P.E. "Trim and Tone" Tuesdays & Thursdays 10-10:50. My mom is going to watch Leify for me. So that is pretty exciting! Hopefully I'll be able to get into a couple of online classes during the summer term :)
The house is finally coming along the transformer should be set within the next couple weeks and then...FOUNDATION. YAY for progress!! Sometimes it feels like it is never going to get done, so this last week has been exciting for Leif and I.
